First single off of Christ The King inspired by my buddy Josh Harris’ new book Dug Down Deep

Welcome to Voice’s blog/website for the new Christ The King project! To your left you will find an introductory video that explains how to utilize this site. To your right will be the track listing for this album. It is the back cover of the album and explains the rest of the videos. Each video will be a brief clip explaining why I wrote the song and the lyrics to that song. Each video goes in order of the album titles 1-17. Beginning with the first video Penal Substitution (#1) and ending with Whatever It takes (#17). There is an ask a question button so please feel free to do that. I hope you all enjoy the album!

Penal Substitution

Let’s get into the topic penal substitution, defined as divine retribution. God and God and God was in cahoots when He foresaw pollution, knowing it would b judged it came to this solution. I guess from a humanistic point it doesn’t seem right so one could argue that those that argue haven’t seen Christ. But I hesitate and tie their prohibitions to some theogical errors and elevated intuition. Biblical percision sees the necessity the wrath of God should act agressively at sins decision. Or the mess would be the holiness of God is on hold indefinitely, hmmm then what would our election be. Votes of no confidence, his holiness would seem ominous or at least deemed not obvious or something synomous. What’s prime like Ronamus is Christ died autonomous so God could have something good to promise us.

In the beginning was His holiness, and it was that that the man would rebel against, and it was that that the Father would hate and judge, so the Son died to propitiate in love. He is the substitution, it’s the atonement (4x)

Let’s get into the session then question why penal, that’s cosmic child abuse, obtuse and illegal. That doesn’t seem loving that a Father would treat his kid and put upon him the blame and shame of what people did. Sustained, objection noted and many others been quoted so time in this rhyme will be devoted. And lines to deal with this crime as timely devoted, we begin with the source of this crime and see who wrote it. God did and God’s kid had established since God is that God’s got dibs on God’s passion. Though today we see the cross, cross lines across fashion, cross my heart the cross cost, the cause of Gods action? Was a faction against his authority rebellion, denial that says you are God and that’s final. Trying to take back what was never ours no spinal is the essence of sin so His sentence is vital. Life the vicious cycle this sin I hate got me Norman Bates psycho in this skin I wait. For the word to be fulfilled God’s wrath on the cross is the line in the world’s sand divides man as lost. Or found eternally bound was found yo no puedo, Christ set up his life receiving God’s fuego. U can find it in the book its in there like Prego, the God who loved me first Jesus yo quiero.

First we deal with the logic, eternal philosophic wanna make sure u all Phil like the harmonic. The gravity of his holiness, the Son would experience the Fathers wrath, on our behalf the path is loneliness. But only this perfect life can please and appease God, so he’s in between ours and God as our altar’s sacrifice. Now every life that is in Christ is saved despite not acting right, in the afterlife. The just for the unjust that’ll marry us to 1 Peter 3:18 as vicarious. Romans 5, Hebrews 9:28, Galatians 3:13 seem to all indicate. His death is our ransom Matt 20:28, 1 Timothy 2:6 no tricks illustrate. The atonement was valid, and it’s godly to be glad that, we will not experience the payment God was asking.

But, a true believer will accept that we suffer, in the footsteps of the cross His grace is the buffer. We believe in we conceding life is a season, Christ is the reason there’s life in our grieving.  Even if you heathen its Christ to believe in, if u do believe in fight til u see him.

This life and it’s pedigree everything that you better be is not saying to yourself I gotta do a better me. You will see the enemy is never done homey you can never run you the bun and sin is the sesame. So take a bite it’s his life  that’s the recipe, ain’t no might if you in Christ it’s like you are next to He. So we fight by his might my life’s like a mess to me, but that’s aight cuz he is life the fight is my destiny. Uhnn, I’m feeling real focused now the world is tricking people can u see the hocus pocus now. We surrounded by everything saying live in wealth, even religion’s missing the bidding from Him deny self. Yeah thats how we show that we like Him living a life and all forgiven by Christ despite sin.

The victims of the cross were forced to carry that tree, no negotiation humiliation for all to see. The destination would be the location you cannot leave, it’s a wrap no looking back it’s fact you will bleed. And experience the pain of the life that you lived in vain, but for the Christian it’s different, cuz now we under His reign. So we face opposition external and internal, hated by all but called to it all by our paternal. To ball but no Paterno, we stumble but never fall or fumble the ball at all no Dante’s inferno, naw. You are all, if living under the call, blessed by God with the gall to handle it all. It’s the way of the cross y’all, that separates us from the ones that are lost y’all.

What Did You Expect

They probably thought he’d be a ruler messianic political king, military upriser suprised huh? Thought he’d have his throne a lil higher, the Lord came low like the best score in a game of limbo. God gets it in ain’t no asking Him Jesus what you in for, eternal entreprenuer is God see what’s in store. Yeah, but they ain’t really have the patience, to see he’s got the best clearance sale for the patrons. So they judged Him, that He couldn’t be the one they been waiting for since B.C. Genesis 3 Jeremiah 23, Isaiah 53 nah man that ain’t He. They couldn’t see the signs like in bad weather, and now they all mad and they all together. In the place where the unfaith have faith, but then is too late they went through grace.

What did you expect? The Lord made it clear in His Word that he would come and take what we deserve. So what did you expect? For everything to be the way we think it should, as if that can be the only way God’s good. He didn’t really do what they thought see in their own will they was caught. So what do you expect? Would you be a better God if, fill in the blank make a wish. What did you expect?

This struggle you can find in the scripture Matthew 11 paints a real clear picture. John the Baptist a hero of the faith, found himself questioning truth when he was displaced. John was locked up for representing the savior, had his people ask are you the Christ or a faker. Jesus told them tell John what you see and then blessed is the man who’s not offended by me. But why was he offended he knew He was the Christ he had baptized the Lord and was sure he was right. But it changed when he started to experience the pain, he was probably like if he’s the Christ why am in chains. Strange John didn’t like the way Christ does it, and he was like Elijah the prophet his cousin. God will always be eternally correct, even if that goes against what we would expect.

The Lord’s got his own agenda, sometimes I don’t see it like I damaged my retina. And it just ain’t the same like sugar to splenda, but the Lord ain’t changed that I fail to remember. I can get confused with my desires and promises, if I think it’s good then I’m thinking he should promise this. And if he doesn’t do it I can lack trust, separate your hands yeah that much. It’s just I don’t always understand sovereignty and I hate mysteries that I can’t solve with ease. It’s really just my pride and I know that, I think I know best yet that’s my life’s throwback. So I been repenting locking my own soul down, feeling like I’m spiritually bound in San Quentin. I will fight my complaints with the truth especially when what I think it is, ain’t you.

Even though the track’s a little dirty Christ is still worthy like James with his name on the back of his Jersey. His claim ain’t no rings, cuz his fame is his mercy, when he came they was saying who dat like ya heard me. Up from the grave like his name’s early, straightened sin out now the oppositions curly. Christ is the scape goat, if this were a democracy we’d literally take votes campaigning our hypocrisy. All majestic eternal God sovereign, the living water who will never leave us parched when. In our sin He is light we were darkened, but he hearkened, he is the door we walked in. We were dead like e-ternally chalked in, until Christ came after us like he was stalking. Gave us life but many was like balkin, so they won’t live long and prosper Vulcan. Uhnn, guess who just walked in, you’ll never guess death brought a guest called often. Who got a brother named coffin, since Jesus died so many lives revived death you lost them. Don’t take it personal though, what you expect when God says yes, expect more or less we will know. Oh! You can’t measure the flow like it’s so tight, your measurements light man measure is the flow Christ. Is the flow life, or is it be-cause like be pro-life, you see gauze will not pause who bleeds life. I’m sure put this metaphor to your life and all, life without Christ is like climbing an icy wall. And you going down, like the prices fall, so what you sayin is you wanna be famous? Your man Jigga said forever remain nameless, but that Hov and Jehova ain’t got the same list. Christ came alone, did his thang alone, was crucified, died and did rise there’s no bones. The only one who keeps us up he’s the holy one, the only son, we’ve only just begun, we holy none. In God’s story unless he credits, Adam is scratched out as our head it’s been changed to Jesus edit my shame. Life is a dice game and I bet will change, I’m just playing life is Christ driven, Im in his lane. Beep, move over sin you need to, his love is vast as the ocean and faith is the Sea Doo. I got a message for you all God sees you and part two is similar it’s that he sees through. How could he not omniscient magnificent unchanging omnipresent all wise and sustaining. Will keep you blameless so nothing seeps through, his mysteries are unfathomable and deep too. Ha, I’m just playing but I’m not when I’m saying, God is love and that love seeks you. And you was blind, now you see like peek a boo, if this Pokemon I’d say God’ll Pikachu. Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling now and forever then amen.    

Division

Christ He is risen, Christ He has given, life in this prison see the Christ is division. It is right if you livin’ divisive to the world where money is everything but Christ He is priceless. Righteous king of unrighteous beings he became alike to become a lifeless king. What his life might bring for those priceless things now they righteous beings, praise Him Christ the King. But it doesn’t stop there to believe in him it’s like believing nothing else is there. In comparison to loyalty man Jesus doesn’t share, and to that he feels so strongly you might think he doesn’t care. But I tell you don’t go there, look at Jesus not just stare, he is God and got the right to tell us how our lives should fair. He paid the eternal fare so when God gives us the glare it’ll be one we do not fear but we glad that we are there. So we divide everything cuz we saying Christ is king, bowing to him only and our homeys we trying to bring.

Christ the preeminent never been irrelevant took the stench of sin and then gave it eternal breathmints. Heaven is His residence, resurruection evidence, sin’s incompetence we stomp against it and it’s pestilience. The radiance of glory the fullness of God in story, supremacy of God’s son I see it right before me. In his word, the fullness of deity dwells we delve into the mystery of incarnation did he see hell? Amazing to I is God cannot lie cannot die but he died did he really did he lie? Did he do something he cannot do and tell us we should try. Nah the fullness of man in him died but God in Him resides. Now we saying take your sides, I ain’t talking bout popeyes I am talking bout what to you’s truth and what to you are lies. In Christ alone you must realize, learn to see it with real eyes, or else all you trying to be will be what he will just despise. So we trying to praise the Lord ignoring the Lord of flies, even though this war is hard, I will live with no disguise. Christ the king he’s everything I long to see him with my eyes, it’s the lamb who has been slain I will proclaim until I die. The Son of man is who came and what’s changed for you and I, is we multiply by faith, but from the world we will divide.

Living my life living my life, living for Christ living for Christ I, said it twice it’s like an exclamation point, so you can spot it like a Dalmation running through this joint. Arm extended with a finger out homey I’m on point, a point man for Christ, look He’s on the cross point point. Illustrates excitement albeit my indictment’s high opinions of self, that you could call enlightenment. Frightening to think, that in the world’s cup many won’t even check and see what’s up, they just stop and drink. Not even realizing God’s wrath at you, and millions feel safe cuz they got a Jesus tattoo. Some are tight too, but Jesus is not your homeboy or dog he is God but will bite you. Hard and right through, but doesn’t like to, that’s why he sent The Christ it’s more than likes you.

But do they know that when you become a Christian that you are seen by God as not even sinning?

Living for Him living for Him, living for sin living for sin. 

Describes me previous, a soldier in the army of satan a general for the darkside grievous. Was so mischievous now I’m describing all of us, grace is so amazing in that God is not appalled at us. It’s not a game but if it was then the dodgeball would hit all of us thrown by God we’d all fall. But instead he bled red and called all of us, generally but specifically not all of us. But it wasn’t just the call that he answered we was so diseased, we’d be doing good with cancer. Cuz we are far worse the curse in humanity couldn’t even be described with the worst profanity. So how can it be that Christ is our canopy man easily the answer be his deeds transferred to me.

Union with Christ union with Christ, imputed imputed doing it right. Figure of speech what’s wild is His righteousness was given to us to achieve Christlikenesses. Cuz if he just took our sins we’d be neutral like Adam and Eve before they sinned and were fruitful. Pun intended, but this is not a do over to be Adam again, not sin and rule over. Nay God gave us Jesus Christ’s righteousness 2 Corinthians 5:21 is writing this. We not just saved, we saved to be sons, not only justified there was an adoption. So now God sees us like we Jesus as if we obeyed Him instead of living to please us. Hard to imagine can’t fathom it but we me must, cuz it affects everything in our obedience.

The Call

Ever since Adam and Eve bit the fruit a condition was given, not in terms of decision but in terms of our living. Everybody was gittin’ a curse beginning with birth that will end in a hearse for all the dirt we did sinning. What we inherited from our first parents is, metaphorically still born by all appearances. The living dead no hope or desire, absolute inability to escape the fire. Nobody is seekers Romans 3:10 teaches, that we couldn’t hear heaven with seven of the best speakers. We were dead Romans 8:7 says it’s impossible, I quote for the mind set on the flesh is hostile to God. and we are born this way and sway hard so if God doesn’t charge we would stay away far. Nobody’d be saved nah nobody at all, so the fact that we saved is a product of the call.

The call goes out who will respond? Nobody if it’s nobody to say c’mon,

I mean sort of we suppose to be directive, but he’s the one who saves see His call is effective.

If he didn’t call nobody would answer and all evangelism would fall to man’s standard

Even though we called to be the ones to speak, behind the scenes the Lord is the one that made the breach.

Let’s begin with the call effective bcuz the Fall made God’s claim a game to us all and we played ball. U feel ashamed y’all, it’s get better, cuz what used to curse God now blesses and it’s the same jaw. Huh? I know this thing can get hectic but the call is connected to elected so check it. Before the foundation, the Father would choose many to heed imputation from sin’s mutation. So God calls people and guarantees their response, cuz w/o that nobody would care what he even wants. So the call is effective and if you are one elected you getting saved, regardless of evangelistic methods. 2nd Thessalonians 2:14 is sure and 1st Peter 2 and 9, seem to say it fine. In fact go to Acts 13:48, Romans 8:28 and Romans 9 make the case.

Now with all of that being true, where is that leaving me and you, since God calls should we even bother at all? What role do we play if any that we can show them them being unbelievers let’s turn to Romans. Chapter 10 verse 9 to be exact, perhaps it can answer that and make clear the fact that. We not eliminated we just assimilated into the will of God learned it to imitate it. People must confess and believe in their hearts, when it’s real the life of sin ends and salvation starts. A few verses afterwards fill out the implications but then 14 & 15 are our participation. It asks how will they hear if nobody will preach, as if to make the point then it says blessed are the feet. That carries the news see God saves but he will use, me and you to speak truth to all and say at least choose.

The Christ

Jesus had just took the bread and the fish prayed, broke it and gave to many plenty they all ate. What should’ve been love from many for some was all hate, Pharisees angrily would debate. Coming from behind arguing with Jesus for a sign, nope paraphrasing Christ’s reply then got in a boat. He did, and his disciples trying to think ahead, just realized that they only got a loaf of bread. Oops, now it’s about to get serious as Jesus made a statement that at first seemed mysterious. The leaven of the Pharisse’s and Herod beware, but they thought he meant literal bread and didn’t care. So he scolds them told them, well actually asked them, about the loaves and feeding the people did they grasp him? Nope they still didn’t understand then they got to Bethsaida and approached a blind man. He being Jesus, took him by the hand, out the village with the guy spit and rubbed on his eyes. Healed the man and was like to your home do not go and then Christ and his disciples went back on the road. Now they in Phillippi Jesus asks who am I John or Elijah they replied. But who am I to you guys Peter replies you are the Christ, and in his own way he would say that he was right.

Jesus now in Galilee Feast of booths approaching in the town of Judea they’ll kill em for his encroachment. He knows this his brothers tell him own this destiny and show his disciples the works he’s doing openly. Jesus says no but secretly goes, secretly foes hoping to pose a threat hoping he don’t notice yet. “Where is he” someone asked, someone “shhhed” someone “laughed,” quietly debate “he’s leading people astray.” Just when they thought it was safe, he showed his face, concerning teaching, they speaking like “how does he have this learning?” Jesus replied my teaching’s not mine but who sent me, I speak on his authority judge it if it’s empty. All of y’all fail to keep Moses’ law, some people in awe, some judging him, some loving him with an open jaw. “Is this not the man that they seek to kill, and here he is speaking openly maybe they know he’s real.” Can this be the Christ, some struggled like um, see we know this man and know where he comes from. Jesus heard so his next word’s you know where I’m from, but you don’t know him who has sent me to come. It was awkward to watch Jesus press like he’s Oxford, but them people sick, and this is the doctor.  Some stayed numb, while many would believe, cuz “when the Christ comes will he do more signs than these?”

Nothing better I can tell you let me be that broken record telling you that you can win like that flag that is checkered. You can’t win in your sin like it’s Rocky 2 grace is rocking you so let me walk you through it profits you. To listen to the prophet who, is really from the soul not de la soul no Posdanous. Wow I can’t believe what I’m seeing the Father is the one who said His Son we should be believe in. And we should praise the Son the Son will praise the Father, and we all one family cuz the sacrificial offer. Jesus would agree to receive the wrath as if he had grieved the Father but His deeds would be on our behalf. If we would believe then reprieve in the aftermath is achieved his expiation relieves and leaves the path. And the spirit assists like He’s Steve Nash asks for no worship like His work doesn’t receive stats. Might I add that, all 3 are God, and that all three are worthy of our worship y’all.

Wow, after contending for the faith that Jude 3 speaks about we will enter in that place. Where His face we can see Him much, you from this world I’m from the next man we’ll be in touch. Grace is so clutch, and this place is so plush, I’m talking Heaven in the presence of the perfect number 7 its a rush. Plus, as if it wasn’t enough to see the Lord, and on one accord surprise what lies is rewards. In front my eyes, you sure is my reply to the Lord, you did it all Jesus how can I take what’s yours? After he gently corrects my ignorance, I will be in Heaven with Him and will never sins against. Wow!

Stomp

People, to the elect in the world according to the foreknowledge of God the Father who are called to walk in the world blameless by blood of Jesus Christ. We are at war! For the very truths that we subscribe to, opposition is set to undermine you. But we are not those who shrink back we stomp!

 Let’s get with the truth and just live it, I-t not I-d not livid I be, I get it I see. That dichotomy of the world’s philosophy up against the knowledge of the gospel is what hostile be. I got news better than what Ted Koppel be, it’s probable to see nothing wicked will topple me.  I wanna stress in God is yes like what bobbles be, fully God and fully man that still boggles me. Hypostatic union, dual natures, no April fools he rose in April man any takers? Wanna prove it wasn’t true I know a few do, shame on you he’s still the same man change your view. His bloodstain’s on you, and eveything that you claim that just ain’t the truth His aim is changing you. Fully God and fully man he came through, it’s true so consider this here I stand 2!

I know the world’s rules so I’m breaking them, you know em too live as long as it ain’t for Him. Number 2 give as long as it ain’t for Him, and number 3 His glory that you should take from Him. Minimize His death see I brake for Sin on the back of a car a bumper sticker God. Coexist with every faith, we all headed, to the same place is a disgrace can we take. A peek at John 14, intimate scene Christ is quite clear look it’s right here. Nobody comes to the Father accept through Him, and that’s true so how can you be coexisting? Acts 4:12, no other name, under Heaven can anybody be saved is plain. Dont take this as being self-righteous to the lost but take that bumper sticker off replace it with the cross.

Christ our federal head Christ our general’s dead is all true but it’s not all through for all who. Believe the last stage, that grave couldn’t hold that ancient of days raised i am that slave. To Him whose act gave sin the cold shoulder, the stone was rolled over, His bones a no shower. He saves the stone thrower, all of that checklist hangs like a necklace that he’s resurrected. Disagree’s corrected hanging in the balance, if he wasn’t resurrected his deity is challenged. And our faith isn’t counted against sin no transfer or pardon you are all in against Him He’s charging. But, He did rise, disguised then the eyes opened now we recognize. We didn’t choose Him he chose us, we owe Him He doesn’t owe us.

The King

Graduated from pastor’s college in ‘08 the culmination of my life on that June date. I’m looking CJ in his eyes I can see the pride he knows what took and both teary eyed guess I made it huh and hugged the man. Now, a young pastors taking office called to serve alongside the homey John Loftness. and the homey Mike Dickson he be from around the way and we do it non-stop out at Solid Rock hey! We just trying to be faithful to preach the gospel of Jesus make some new believers. Into true believers, the world is trying desperately to cripple our efforts like the Spirit’s parapalegic. So it’s war like code 4 at Fort Detrick, sword’s drawn red dawn hearts and heads gone. Lines drawn and I’m confident in that, when Christ said I’m gone he also said I’ll be back. When he does it’s a wrap no presents or artform, that describes the music that we are doing. Yeah then it’s curtains like velvet man I’m trying to get up in your head like a helmet. Man I’m trying to bug till you see u need repellent, I’m going rogue on ‘em no Sarah Palin. I’m on the road to no sin and going home from a world where everybody’s the man I am playing zone.

I’m from the culture where the vutlures are swooping in, and I don’t like those birds so I am shooing them. You don’t like those words I can explain them, the vultures are my flesh, the swooping is my sin. I’m trying to kill em all Duke Nukem shooting them, it’s not a game but my flesh’s bleachers root for sin.  I think they paid the refs cuz the ref’s is cheating but my all star showed up and they ain’t beating Him. It’s two of us but my whole team’s complete in Him, I’m sorry for the metaphors let me repeat again. And I repepat there was a time I was replete with sin, I wasn’t curious for God there was no peeking in. I was in deep like 6 feet at 5’10, you do the math and see them numbers ain’t matching. Fishers of men man I hope that you are catching, them, using the right bait Christ’s grace.8 I’m trying to  get to Heaven like this is a nice place, to see Christ face to then be like that’s my place? Wow, different song but the same emotion, my aim is at blameless where the claim is devotion. To the one who made the land star sky and ocean, my growth has crazy movement I call it locomotion. Make a joyful noise call it godly commotion, cuz we with the Son the only one to put our hope in.
